Career             Mooky has had a few careers over the course of his life. Bred by Donna & Nikki in 1999 Mooky raced as Bat Out of Hell and had a successful career racing over longer distance races. Retiring from racing at 6 years of age Mooky was let down for about 6 months and then brought back into work to be an adult riding & eventing prospect for Donna. Mooky trained extensively across all three disciplines but found his strength and love shone through in dressage. At the age of 20 years Mooky transitioned to teaching young riders and beginner riders their walk, trot, canter transitions. At 28 years of age Mooky has retired to groundwork sessions and grooming but loves teaching students about safe connection, self advocacy and trust.  

Works primarily with            People who may be struggling with feelings of fear and anxiety. Mooky is amazing at identifying when a student is feeling overwhelmed and working with them to help them feel at ease.

Career             Clinkers worked with his previous owner Jess as a trick pony, at Geelong Equine Assisted Learning he has worked with a range of participants and loves to bring a sense of joy when working with his participants. Clinkers is very cheeky and loves to work on games or obstacles with his students.

Works primarily with Students who struggle to respect other boundaries or may get frustrated easily. Clinkers is very good at identifying when a student is struggling to communicate difficult emotions

Career             Prior to joining the team at GEAL George attended pony club and competed in barrel racing. Since then George has transitioned to eventing and loves all three disciplines (showjumping, dressage, and cross country). George also loves obstacles, trail riding, and working with his students on the ground.

Works primarily with            George is very good at identifying feelings of shame and helping clients to process and make sense of difficult emotions. Through tailored exercises he is able to help them to build confidence and trust in themselves and trust in the world around them. George is also very good at reinforcing boundaries with clients who may struggle to understand what is acceptable social behaviour and what is not.

Career             Nala has worked extensively as a pony club mount and has taught many children to ride. Naalah enjoys doing everything from obstacles to jumping and spending time with her owner Ivy.

Works primarily with Nala is a sensitive soul and enjoys working with clients who may struggle with fear of change, rigidity, and anxiety

Daisy is a 4 year old tabby who has been a member of the Geelong Equine Assisted Learning team for just over six months. Daisy is an excellent mouse catcher and loves nothing than afternoon cuddles over Arts & Crafts.

Chewy is a joyful wirey hair Jack Russell who loves running, spending time at the beach and meeting new people. Chewy really enjoys playing fetch and listening to storytime in the afternoons.

Hugo is a wonderful staffy / kelpie cross who enjoys running, leading the horses, and spending time with his friends down the beach. Hugo loves having a cuddle with our clients who may be struggling with difficult emotions.

LeRoy is a gorgeous 4 year old orange tabby. LeRoy loves catching rabbits and having a cuddle over lunch.
