Nikki started Geelong Equine Assisted Learning at the beginning of 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Since 2020 the team at Geelong Equine Assisted Learning has developed into a unique program that services the growing needs of the Geelong community.

Donna Bynon

Donna Bynon is a former member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Member of the Victorian Parliament who enjoys supporting the young people who are looking to learn emotional regulation and stress management skills. Meditation and cooking are practices that have been essential for me in my personal & professional life and these are things I want to share with the young people in our program.

Suzie Carrol
Registered Psychologist, EMDR Practitioner & Equine Therapist Wednesday
Currently taking new clients
Prior to working as a Registered Psychologist & Equine Therapist Suzie worked extensively in outpatient care. Working with clients Suzie is passionate about using different tools to help clients in her practice and feels animals provide clients with unique insight around behaviour.

Abbie previously worked in the racing before making the transition across to the disability sector. Abbie has a particular interest in working with young people on the spectrum who love animals.

Micheal transitioned to working as a member of the team last year and is essential part of the team. Micheal has a special interest in working with young people with intellectual disabilities who are on the spectrum.

Apprentice
Currently completing year 11, Ruby has been a long term client and has successfully completed the Animal Husbandry & her EAL Ridden components. Ruby is interested in working in the Disability Sector in the future.
